Plumbing Registration Exam (Journeyman's Exam)

Overview

The Plumbing Registration Exam assesses if an individual has the skills and knowledge required to work as a registered plumber.

The examiners, from the Victorian Building Authority, test an individual’s knowledge and understanding of six main classes of plumbing work:

Drainage
Gasfitting
Mechanical Service
Roofing (Stormwater)
Sanitary
Water Supply

To help you pass your Plumbing Registration Exam, revision classes are held the week before the exams.

Furthermore, please note that the VBA states it is compulsory for all students to sit the exam once current Victorian Cetrificate III in Plumbing is completed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Students from TAFE colleges outside of RMIT must contact the VBA to
book their exam.

Outcome

At the end of the exam the VBA will notify participants of their results

Pre-requisites

Participants need to be Plumbing apprentices who have completed the current Victorian Certificate III in Plumbing training at RMIT or another trade school.
